| Posted: 30 Jul 2015 08:20 AM PDT What was a normal software update for our credit card processing software on our terminal server has since turned into a 3-day nightmare. Anyone know how to fix this error? Basically the .msi package consists of several modules, two of which simply fail to install. I get this in event viewer. "Error 1911. Could not register type library for file *" (dll. or tlb. file name here) It's got me stumped as well as level 3 tech support at the company who makes this software. And sadly the two modules I need aren't available as separate install packages. 😟 And now, I can't even roll it back to our previous working version because these modules got uninstalled when updating, and the old version refuses to install them as well. And I committed a cardinal sin by not doing an image backup before updating. So now I burned all my bridges and am hanging out to dry while two of my stores can't process credit cards. Any ideas?
